I LOVE telling the story of, ANANSI THE SPIDER, written and illustrated by Gerold McDermott. This story comes from a country in the continent of Africa named, Ghana.
This book is beautifully illustrated with bold graphic depictions of this well known Folk Tale Trickster, ANANSI.
I usually do this project in the fall or in October due to Halloween but it is a fable about how the moon got to be in the sky. It also shows how helpful family can be when danger occurs. I love the variety I get from my classes. Each as individual as a fingerprint.
