Fun Fashion

Fun Fashion

Supplies:
- nude illustration on paper
- tissue paper
- glue
- scissors
- (optional) color pencils

In this workshop, participants had an illustration created by artist Warren K. Bradley and their task was to create clothing for their person. We used tissue paper, glue and scissors to create the clothes. I have done this project before, using cloth and other materials but I prefer tissue paper because of its translucent qualities. I also had blank t-shirt templates available.

3D Line Play

Not all line art has to be created with a writing tool or need to be 2 dimensional. In this exercise I used a id chain to create different versions of a bunny rabbit.

Abstract Monoprints

A monoprint is a single impression of an image made from a re-printable block. Materials such as metal plates, litho stones or wood blocks are used for etching upon. Rather than printing multiple copies of a single image, only one impression may be produced, either by painting or making a collage on the block.

In this workshop I had participants paint with tempra paint on sheets of transparency film and then transfer the painting onto paper using different color construction paper and a brayer.

Supplies:
Transparency Film (staples)
Tempra Paint
Barren or a brayer
Brushes and a cup of water for cleaning brushes
