With the book, A Color of His Own by Eric Carle, a sweet lizard wishes he had hi own color and didn't keep changing to match his surroundings. In this project the children get to pick their own color for their lizard and the glue down all of the pieces. I use the glue to guide the children and use words such as horizontal and vertical.
