Elan's New Art

My new work has inspired me to do all the stuff I have been wanting to do such as get my children's books published, hire an artist agent and make lots and lots of money (hopefully). I need to get my kids a Spanish/French tutor, music and karate classes.

This project needs:
Newspaper
Magazine images of people sitting and or reclining
Magazine images of couches and/or seats
Glue
Colored pencils, watercolor paints and/or crayons
Contact paper that looks like wood

First: Have the children enhance the newspaper
Second: Glue decorated newspaper to the white paper and place a piece of contact paper that looks like wood at the bottom to represent the floor.
Third: Now that you have established a background they will pick a person on a couch to glue in their scene
Fourth: The participants pick a head to go on the body.

Studio Museum in Harlem Lil'Studio Class with Elan

This was the first class that I taught at the Studio Museum in Harlem. We did City scapes with Romare Bearden inspired people. I LOVE collage! I forgot to get samples of the final projects but they did great.
